A Diverse Education
We provide many forms of learning every day in our morning preschool program. Circle Time, Language Arts, Math, Science, Art, Music and Movement and Outdoor Play are all included in each day’s activities. We offer a mix of structured and unstructured time to allow children to begin to get used to a routine while still exploring independently as well.
Verbal Progression
During this time children become more specific with their vocabulary. Instead of calling a vehicle a truck, they may refer to it as a front loader. We encourage this growth at For Kids’ Sake through conversation with the children, stories, books and interactive play. Children also develop phonological awareness through rhymes, finger-plays and songs. We encourage children to extend their language development by posing questions such as, “Do you know another word that starts with the same sound as block?” Letter recognition and comprehension also develop significantly during this time.
